A book titled ‘How to Prevent the Next Pandemic’ has authored by Bill Gates will be published this year in May 2022. In the book Bill Gates has written about specific steps that can only stop future pandemics but, in the process, provide better health care for everyone around the world. His last book, “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster: The Solutions We Have and the Breakthroughs We Need”, was released in February 2021.

The Statue of Equality, the mega 216-foot structure in Telangana which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi 12 February 2022, was actually made in China. The fact that such a prestigious project was awarded to a Chinese firm — at a time when the Narendra Modi government, the BJP and its ideological family, the Sangh Parivar, has talked of cutting down India’s dependence on Chinese goods — has raised eyebrows. But the BJP says it’s “irrelevant” where the statue was made, with Telangana party leader N.V. Subhash adding that the greater cause behind the statue is to preach humanity. The statue, built on the outskirts of Hyderabad, commemorates the 11th-century Bhakti saint Sri Ramanujacharya on his 1,000th birth anniversary.

Ukraine has accused Russia of blocking its access to the sea as Russia prepares for naval exercises next week amid spiraling tension in the region. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said the Sea of Azov was completely blocked and the Black Sea almost fully cut off by Russian forces. Russia has repeatedly denied any plans to invade Ukraine despite massing more than 100,000 troops at the border.

Los Angeles is the venue of the 2028 Olympic Games or the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. It is being referred to as LA28. Paris is the venue of the 2024 Olympic Games. Recently, the International Olympic Committee has approved a proposal to include surfing, skateboarding, and sport climbing among the core sports for the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.

The state of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians is a crime against humanity and is illegal under international law, Amnesty International said on Tuesday. The rights group says Israel’s “oppression and domination” of Palestinians amounts to apartheid. Amnesty said Israel has embraced laws and practices that “are intended to maintain a cruel system of control over Palestinians, have left them fragmented geographically and politically, frequently impoverished, and in a constant state of fear and insecurity.”
