As per the recent media reports, the ruling party of Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has approved a proposal to ban cow slaughter.

‘International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict’ is observed every year on November 6. The UN General Assembly declared the observance of this day, in the year 2001. As per the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), at least 40 percent of all internal conflicts are linked to the exploitation of natural resources.

The comet C/2020 F3 comet also called NEOWISE was discovered on March 27, this year. As the comet would be visible in the sky. It is expected to be visible after sunset for around 20 minutes for 20 days from July 14, 2020, and it will fade away in the month of August.
