A quarter-dollar coin featuring a close-up image of Wong’s face and chin resting on her hand will be circulated as the fifth coin in the American Women Quarters (AWQ) Program. The theme for World Mental Health Day 2022 is ‘Make mental health for all a global priority’.

The World Post Day is celebrated every year on October 9 across the globe to create awareness on the role of the postal sector in daily life. This year’s theme for the day is ‘Post for Planet’. It is also the anniversary of the founding of the Universal Postal Union in Bern, Switzerland, in 1874. With more than 1.5 lakh post offices, India Post is the largest postal network in the world.

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2022 was awarded to Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal, and K. Barry Sharpless “for the development of click chemistry and bio-orthogonal chemistry”.

The Nobel Prize in Literature for 2022 is awarded to the French author Annie Ernaux “for the courage and clinical acuity with which she uncovers the roots, estrangements and collective restraints of personal memory”.

The 2022 Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to human rights advocate Ales Bialiatski from Belarus, the Russian human rights organization Memorial and the Ukrainian human rights organization Center for Civil Liberties.
