Iran officially joined the SCO, and all the participants signed the Samarkand Declaration in the end. Iran’s full membership in the SCO was announced by the President of Uzbekistan, which was applauded by the participants. China, Russia, India, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan attended the 22nd SCO summit. The SCO currently comprises Nine Member States (China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan).

The 2022 SCO summit was the 22nd annual summit of heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation held between 15 and 16 September 2022 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 23 runs in the final, to win their sixth title and their first in the T20I format.

Queen Elizabeth II was the queen of 15 Commonwealth realms at the time of her death ¹. These realms include the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and several countries in the Caribbean and Pacific. She was also the head of the Commonwealth, a voluntary association of 56 countries, most of which are former British colonies or territories. During her reign, she was queen of 32 sovereign states, although the number varied as countries gained independence and became republics.

Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary) was Queen of the United Kingdom from 6 February 1952 until her death on 8 September 2022. Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the second-longest recorded of any monarch of a sovereign country. At the time of her death, Elizabeth was also Queen of 14 other Commonwealth realms, in addition to the United Kingdom.
