George Bernard Shaw was an Irishman. He was born in Dublin, Ireland on July 26, 1856. He was a playwright, critic, polemicist and political activist. His influence on Western theatre, culture and politics extended from the 1880s to his death and beyond.

Khalil Gibran was a Lebanese-American poet, painter, and writer. He is best known for his book “The Prophet”, which has been translated into over 120 languages and sold over 100 million copies. “Broken Wings” is his first novel, which was published in 1912. It is a tale of tragic love, set in turn-of-the-century Beirut.
