Budapest is situated on the banks of the Danube River. The Danube is the second-longest river in Europe, after the Volga. It flows through 10 countries, including Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Ukraine. Among the many cities on the river are four national capitals: Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade and Bratislava. Its drainage basin amounts to 817 000 km² and extends into nine more countries.

The Missouri River is located in the United States. It is the longest river in the United States, and the fourth longest river in North America. The Missouri River begins in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, and flows east and south for 2,341 miles (3,767 km) before emptying into the Mississippi River near St. Louis, Missouri. The Missouri River basin covers an area of over 529,000 square miles (1,300,000 km2), and includes parts of ten U.S. states and two Canadian provinces.

The Irrawaddy River is the longest river in Myanmar, flowing for over 2,170 kilometers (1,350 miles). It is the country’s most important commercial waterway and is home to a variety of wildlife, including dolphins, turtles, and fish. The Irrawaddy River is also an important cultural and religious site for the Burmese people.
