Pakistan’s Ministry of Information & Broadcasting launched an application to protect mother earth named Planet Champs. Planet Champs is a user-friendly application that is open for all in the country and anyone who wants to join the movement to protect mother earth. The application provides users with information on climate change, water and energy conservation, and proper disposal of waste. It also allows users to track their own environmental impact and to connect with other Planet Champs around the world.

According to IQAir, a Swiss organization that tracks air quality, Lahore is Pakistan’s most polluted city. Lahore’s air quality is so bad that it has been ranked as the most polluted city in the world by the World Health Organization (WHO). The city’s air is thick with smog and dust, and it is often hazardous to breathe.

The Government of Pakistan has banned the President, Prime Minister, cabinet members, judges, and civil and military officers from retaining Toshakhana presents valued over USD 300. Pervez Musharraf breathed his last on 5 Feb 2023, at the age of 79. Pervez Musharraf was a Pakistani four-star general who served as the tenth President of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008. He was born in New Delhi, India in 1943 and joined the Pakistan Army in 1964. He rose through the ranks of the army and eventually became the Chief of Army Staff in 1998. In 1999, he staged a coup d’état and became the President of Pakistan. He was forced to resign in 2008 after facing widespread protests. He lived in self-exile in Dubai since 2016.

Pervez Musharraf, the former military ruler of Pakistan, died in Dubai on February 5, 2023, at the age of 78. He had been suffering from amyloidosis, a rare disease that causes organ damage. Musharraf was born in New Delhi, India, in 1943. He joined the Pakistan Army in 1964 and rose through the ranks to become the country’s president in 1999. He was forced to resign in 2008 after facing widespread protests. Musharraf lived in self-exile in Dubai since 2016. He was diagnosed with amyloidosis in 2018.
