Pakistan ranks 142 out of 146 countries in WEF’s global gender gap report. Screengrab taken from WEF’s report. In the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Gender Gap Report 2023, Pakistan has been ranked 142 out of 146 countries.

Pakistan’s rank in the 2023 World Press Freedom Index is 150th out of 180 countries. This is a slight improvement from its rank of 157th in 2022. However, Pakistan still has a long way to go in terms of press freedom. The country’s media is often subject to censorship and intimidation, and journalists are sometimes killed or imprisoned for their work.

The National Action Plan (NAP) is an action plan that was established in 2014. It was created by the government of Pakistan in response to the increasing threat of terrorism and extremism in the country.

Justice Musarrat Hilali is the current first Female Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court. President Arif Alvi appointed Justice Hilali as chief justice Peshawar High Court with effect from April 1, 2023 and till the appointment of a regular chief justice by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP)

The Khunjerab Pass has reopened on 2 April 2023 after 3 years. PM Shehbaz Sharif said the reopening of the pass had removed a hurdle that would expedite the work on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), adding that restoration of the trade route between the two countries, after three years, was a matter of huge rejoicing.

Enaam Ahmed is also the British Formula 3 Champion, the first ever high-level Formula Championship winner in the history of Pakistan, beating the record of Ayrton Senna by winning 13 races in one season.
