150th  Pakistan’s rank in the 2023 World Press Freedom Index is 150th out of 180 countries. This is a slight improvement from its rank of 157th in 2022. However, Pakistan still has a long way to go in terms of press freedom. The country’s media is often subject to censorship and intimidation, and journalists are sometimes killed or imprisoned for their work.
