Sir Syed Ahmed Khan

Sir Syed Ahmed Khan used the terms “two-nation theory” for the first time in 1867 due to the Hindu-Urdu Controversy.

Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was knighted in 1888. He was a Muslim scholar and reformer who played a significant role in the development of modern education in India. He founded the Aligarh Muslim University, which is one of the most prestigious universities in India.

Sir Syed Ahmad Khan analyzed the causes of the uprising of 1857 and advocated a reconciliation between the British and the Muslims. He believed that the uprising was a result of a number of factors, including the misrule of the East India Company, the religious and cultural differences between the British and the Muslims, and the lack of education among the Muslims. He argued that the only way to prevent future uprisings was to improve the education of the Muslims and to build bridges between the two communities.

Sir Syed Ahmad Khan established a school in Muradabad in 1859. He was an Indian Muslim scholar, educationist, and reformer who is considered one of the founders of modern education in India. He founded the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College, which later became Aligarh Muslim University.

On 3 January 1855, Sir Syed was promoted from first class Munsif and transferred to Bijnor as Sadr Amin.
