Imran Khan Imran Khan became the first Prime Minister in Pakistan’s history to have been removed from office through a no-confidence vote on April 10, 2022. Khan, who came to power in 2018, lost the vote after losing the support of his coalition partners. The opposition Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had tabled the no-confidence motion against Khan, accusing him of economic mismanagement and misgovernance.
