The Federal Government appointed Passand Khan Buledi as the new chairman of Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), Ministry of Maritime Affairs. Buledi will replace, Naseer Khan Kashani as chairman of GPA who was serving as chairman since 2019. Passand Khan Buledi belongs to Balochistan Civil Service who joined the service in 1997. He has served as Deputy Commissioner in various districts and Divisional Commissioners of Balochistan.

On 3 November 2022, Khan was shot in the leg or in the foot by a gunman while giving a speech to supporters at a rally in Wazirabad, Punjab, and leading a march to the capital Islamabad to demand snap elections after he was ousted. Automatic gunfire was heard in footage aired on local news channels which also showed Khan being carried away and put in a car, with a bandage visible on his leg.

Sadaf Naeem, a reporter covering the PTI’s long march for Channel 5, was crushed to death during an accident near Sadhoke. According to Channel 5, the reporter was run over by PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container. The media outlet said that Naeem fell from the container after which she was crushed by the vehicle.
